Evil God Prototype Version 1.0.0.3 - LIVE


Overall.

A basic statistic system was added to review your production, this is helpful if you are a tough balancing planner specially because of the new unit Dark Pastor which allows you to get +1% FAITH of the existing production of Fanatic Zealots for every Acolyte in play. This means that if you have one Fanatic Zealot with a production of 10, 30 Acolytes and 1 Dark Pastor then your Dark Pastor will produce 3 FAITH per second (30% accumulated for each Acolyte). Now, this may not seem much for you but you can have as many Dark Pastors has you want and all of them will get the bonus so now you have to take good care of balancing your production to max it the most. Dark Pastors will grant you a constant base of FAITH while you still feed the Fanatic Zealots. For high level players this will result in a boost for reaching a mighty religion. It will also become important to consider which units inhabit which buildings because a proper balance should be done to max FAITH per second. More changes will be done later to create your own “combos” according the units available and giving more options than just use the Fanatic Zealot, which as a sweet-bitter candy is great and terrible for game versatility and retention.

Bug Fixes

- New Game creation error, didn’t cleared all the states and variables

- Holy man died automatically and granted +1 FAITH when let go.

- Implemented InGame save corrections for old versions of game stored.


Changes

- Fanatic store value changed to 250k, this unit became the indisputable core of the whole game so I had to increase its price slightly. For players over level 6 should easy to but it every 5 minutes approximately.

- Level up notification changed slightly

- A notification when adding FAITH permanently was also added.


New features

- New Units added: Dark Pastor, grants +1% of Fanatic Zealot’s production for every acolyte in game. Casts a zombie every 60 seconds that crosses the way and kills everything at is pass. Immune to Fanatic Zealot.

- New Unit added: Guard Pastor, stays in the way of monsters and slays them to prevent them from killing your units. Lasts 10 minutes then he is killed by a lightning.

- Basic statistics system added to review overall production.

- Awards for the new units were added.


Coming up in later releases.

- New storage method to prevent faulty saves in WebStorage.

- More units.

- Integration with Kongregate’s system.


If you see a glitch on images, press F5 and refresh your page. If by any mean your game got deleted (there’s no process in the game that does that) try to recover it by loading the previous saved game before 60 seconds had passed or your game file will be overwritten. This is the only workaround and may not work if your browser affected the WebStorage area (this is neither controlled by the game but locally by your browser).

Here’s a note from Construct site regarding games lost, tool I used to develop this game.

“WebStorage does not store in the browser cache. If the user opts to empty the browser cache, WebStorage data remains intact. However if the user opts to clear all their cookies or offline website data, WebStorage will be cleared.”
